Duchesse de Nemours (Calot 1856)
Fragrant double white, popular cut flower blooms early for a white, large cupped guard petals, very floriferous with strong stems. Still a valuable plant after over 150 years. It produces an abundance of blooms and if you wish to have larger blooms simple remove the small side buds before they reach green pea size.

Frances Willard (Brand 1907)
This double opens a lovely pink quickly fading to blush and then white with a carmine touch on some of the inner petal edges. In cool seasons this flower may open pink which fades to white as you can see in the photo. Large fragrant blooms on strong floriferous stems with dark green foliage. Midseason. The blooms are noted for holding their flower form exceptionally well. Plant in full sun.

Judge Berry NEW for 2010! (Brand 1907)
Very large, even light rose pink of a delicate shade. Some bright gold stamens bring sparkle to the flower. The great immense sized early blooms should be supported. Few doubles of large size are in bloom as early as this one. Madame de Verneville (Crousse 1885)
Double white bomb shows a hint of yellow and the wonderful rose fragrance make it a long standing popular garden peony. The crown center may have petals with red edges. 30” tall. Rarer and not nearly as easy to find this double white French Antique peony with a tall center with red flecks is slightly fragrant. The advantage of this variety over other similar varieties is the stronger stems and darker green foliage. Plant in full sun.

Marie Jacquin (Verdier Pre-1916)
Fragrant, semi-double to double with pale pink petals that fade to white. The flowers have the cupped shape of a giant water-lily with large guard petals forming a cup for the water-lily like center petals. Side blooms make this multiflora incredibly beautiful in the garden. Midseason. Also known as Waterlily and Bridesmaid. This peony is well noted as a profuse bloomer and for those creating a cottage garden it is a must! Plant in full sun.
