Peonies and Daylilies from
Welcome to the 2015 online peony and daylily catalog! Peony orders for fall 2015 can now be placed to reserve your plants.
There are 179 different varieties of peonies in the 2015 online web catalog to choose from this season.
We hope you find some peonies or daylilies that you would love to enjoy and bring beauty to your garden.
Bare root peonies will be shipped starting September 21 - October 17 the proper time for planting dormant bare root peonies. For the excellent growing conditions in the north peonies develop the largest eyes if allowed to mature in the field and not dug too early. Southern growers can dig a month earlier but our roots are aclimated to the cold fall rooting conditions peonies love. Growing them the extra few weeks gives them a chance to go dormant and has produced larger eyes (buds) that develop into stronger stems the following spring. Just like a cake taken out of the oven too early - it's still a cake but not the same as one left to finish cooking! Worth the wait in both cases.
Online daylily ordering will be available for the first time in 2015. Daylilies orders will need to be placed separately from peony orders because of the different shipping dates.
Daylilies will have two shipping dates: In the spring (May 18 - 22) and fall (August 10 - 14). We grow all of the daylilies we offer right here in Spring Grove, MN. All of our daylilies are field grown and have survived cold Minnesota winters with no pampering. Please visit the daylily pages for more information.
Thank you for your interest in our peonies and daylilies and for your orders, we hope you will have beautiful peonies and daylilies to enjoy in your garden for many years to come.
