Hidden Springs Flower Farm Nursery GRAND OPENING is moved to JUNE 1ST so the flowers can catch up after the cold spring weather. Luckily for visitors to the nursery some of the most popular and rare peonies already sold out online are available in pots in limited quantities. A partial listing is found on the Potted Peony link. Potted plants can not be shipped. Peonies in a wide range of colors bring joy to you and your garden visitors. Easy to care for peonies can last more than a life time. Many new peonies, fragrant peony varieties, Saunders hybrid and peonies found only here at Hidden Springs Flower Farm. Peonies with their brilliant colors of bright yellow, true red and coral are huge attractions in the early part of the bloom season. Select strong stemmed peonies that require no staking from the Award of Landscape Merit (ALM) winning peonies found on the Awarded Peony Pages.

Peonies grow best in USDA Growing Zones 3-8. We offer a wide range of peony colors and flower forms. Choose from fragrant, award winning, doubles, single and Japanese forms of peonies grown in fertile Minnesota soils. Fall is the best time to plant peonies. All of the peonies we offer are grown in Spring Grove, Minnesota and cared for by Brigitte and Harvey right on our family farm. The fields are nestled in a valley between hillsides covered with majestic oaks, walnut and hickory woodlands. Peony roots are freshly dug from our fields and fall shipped at the proper time for planting. Peonies are best planted in the fall from mid September through the 3rd week in October. Please pardon our construction this spring while we continue to build the greenhouse and finish off the landscaping. We will still have a few more building items to complete after the nursery opens but know how anxious gardeners have been to visit us here. We will have a selection of potted peonies for this special event that are not offered on the website including 5 different Itoh Peony hybrids and hardy Asiatic Maples, a hardy double flowered polyploid Magnolia, Wisteria Blue Moon, and more unusual and rare plants like Martagon lilies. More unusual perennials will be added as they mature next season.
