The Japanese form peony has also been referred to as the Imperial Form peony and it truely is a lovely sight in the garden. Characterized by strong stems and mid to late bloom the flowers are as lovely in the garden as in a vase inside your home. Peony Aztec is a red Japanese form peony that blooms midseason. Its large flower is a bright scarlet rose, staminodes rose with orange-rose, tipped with bright gold. Wind and rain resistant. Plant in full sun. We have a limited supply this season and once sold out it will be available to order next in 2014. Difficult to find this particular variety offered many places.
