Week 4 Midseason blooming peonies are dominated by the colorful hybrid peonies that will amaze you with their brilliant true red to pastel colored blooms. Included are the double form hybrids many of which are fragrant favorites of the hybrid peonies. The possibilities are huge for color and flower form selection since hybrid singles, semi-doubles and full doubles are all blooming during this week in the peony garden. A week ahead of the older common garden peonies. Be sure to include some in your garden and stretch your color palete and bloom season.

Peony Serenade  (Saunders 1941) Peony Serenade This single blush hybrid has unusual roots that are purple in color. The pale pink blush blooms are nearly white and accented by a generous center of gold stamens. The broad leaves show its P. macrophylla heritage. Week 4 bloom date rating.
