Madame Emile Lemoine  (Lemoine 1899) Rarer and not nearly as easy to find this double white French Antique peony with a tall center with red flecks is slightly fragrant. Mahogany ALM Winner 2010  (Glasscock 1937) Mahogany is a wonderful Glasscock Hybrid that has a single, large cup shaped deep mahogany red flowers very early in the peony bloom season. Sweetly fragrant flowers are held on strong 28- 30" stems. The lighter markings on the out side of the petals become more prominent as the flower ages and the bloom becomes bigger. Marcella  (Lins 1952) This high built medium size double white peony from Mr. Lins is a very fine flower. We want to make sure these special varieites end up in many gardens to make sure they are not lost to the gardening world. Marcella is a midseason bloomer with good dark green foliage. Marie Jacquin  (Verdier Pre-1916) Fragrant, semi-double to double with pale pink petals that fade to white. The flowers have the cupped shape of a giant water-lily with large guard petals forming a cup for the water-lily like center petals. Side blooms make this multiflora incredibly beautiful in the garden. Midseason. Also known as Waterlily and Bridesmaid. Mikado  (Japan 1893) The floral presentation in the garden is just wonderful as the flowers are held above the foliage in ahorizontal plane giving a high impact in the garden. Japanese cupped red with rose and yellow center, very floriferous, midseason, tall. Because of its vigor and prodigious flower production it is perhaps one of the most widely grown of all the Japanese form peonies. Minuet  (Franklin 1931) Very large full rose shaped light pink on long stems perfect for cutting. Late season bloom. The extra long 42" stems make it perfect for a cut flower and it keeps well in the vase. But because of the large blooms and tall stems it should have some support in the garden.
