pompom.jpg

Pom Pom  (Tischler 1972)
Although registered with a very brief description as a, “Double, mid-season dark pink.“ The introducers catalog description is perhaps more accurate where he listed it with the Japanese forms, “A dark rose-pink of striking color. The center is striking yellow and with a pink tint at the base. Blooms mid-season. Very attractive.“ In our fields it has bloomed from Japanese form to an anemone double in form.

Prairie Moon  (Fay 1959)
Large soft creamy yellow blooms make this hybrid peony much sought after. Semi-double early on 32" stems. Some claim it is one of the most beautiful of the hybrid peonies. Plant has extra strong stems of medium height. The foliage is bright glossy green and holds this color until frost. The flower can be a full double some years and rather single when first planted so let it settle in for two years before judging it’s value. It is suitable as a cut flower also.

Princess Margaret  (Marawska 1960)
Large full double dark pink has an open cup shape that sheds water fairly well allowing the plant to be more resistant to falling over in the garden after rain. When cut and used in a vase it has a most pleasant fragrance which makes it a very popular flower. It blooms early to midseason on 30" stems.
