Westerner GM (Bigger 1942)
This is most likely our very largest yet graceful Imperial form variety of peony. Extremely large broad pink petals surround a center of bright gold on this APS Gold Medal winning Japanese form peony. Fantastic symetrical flower shape above 36 inch stems. People remember it from the fields and have to add one to their gardens. Plant in full sun. Absolutely beautiful in a simple Japanese Style flower arrangement or left on the plant to create that "oh my goodness look at the size of that flower" exclamation.

Windchimes NEW for 2010! (Reath 1984)
Lavender pink single tenuifolia hybrid. 35", early season. Blooms face outward. Some say it is a P. veitchii selection but as it produces seed reluctantly compared to the species I think it is indeed a hybrid. The seeds also are duller and larger than the species and the root structure is larger and entirely different than any of the many P. veitchii plants we grow and we have over 30 separate plants to compare it to. Regardless of whether it is a hybrid or not it is a very beautiful peony.
