Peony Philomele was also called Vadius. An anemone formed pink with a center that is amber-pink to start and grows larger as the flower matures ending mostly pink. You could hardly tell the newly opened flower from one a few days old because of the change. Very novel. Again with a wonderful fragrance as many of the French varieties are noted for possessing. Early mid-season bloom. One of the top ten most fragrant at our nursery.
