Peony A. B. Franklin GM  (Franklin 1928) Peony A.B. Franklin is a late blooming peony. This large, double blush peony is fragrant. When the flower first opens it is a bright blush pink and then changes to a white, very lovely flower of beautiful form. Developed by Mr. Franklin in Minnesota. Peony Baroness Schroeder  (Kelway 1889) This fragrant variety comes from the famous Kelway Nursery in England that introduced the famous Kelway's Glorious. Very large white double, great cut flower. It begins blooming with a pink center that disappears as the flower finishes opening, Excellent foliage and very strong stems. Late-midseason bloom. Peony Boule de Neige  (Calot 1867) Peony Boule de Neige - This ancient and very rare French variety was introduced by Calot in 1867 and survives today due to it’s prolific bloom production. It's blooms are nearly as large as those of Festiva maxima with which it blooms nearly at the same time. However, while it has the same prominent red markings in the center of the flower the flowers are also accented by a golden glow from the stamens at the center of the blooms. Peony Carrara   (Bigger 1952) Peony Carrara is a pure white peony with broad, large guard petals that surround the lacy center that opens creamy white and matures white as the flower opens fully. Peony Dawn Glow   (Saunders/Hollingsworth 1986) Peony Dawn Glow is an ivory petaled single hybrid with soft pink overtones. The flower is fragrant and bloom season is early. Peony Duluth  (Franklin 1931) Peony Duluth is a large rose type double white peony that was developed in Minnesota. With vigorous 36" stiff stems it can hold the flowers high and erect, it blooms late like most of the double white peonies. The rich green foliage is a perfect background for the white blooms. Peony Dunlora   (Peyton 1943) Peony Dunlora has single white flowers held neatly above leaves as though trimmed to 27" tall. It is this neat plant habit that sets it apart from other white single peonies. Early, one of the first singles to open. Peony Festiva Maxima   (Miellez 1851) Peony Festiva Maxima is often substituted with inferior whites with red flares but the true Festiva maxima is a tall massive globular double white with red flares is one of the oldest and still one of the best very fragrant lactiflora whites. Midseason, 36". The healthy , dark green and large foliage is very distinctive. Needs staking to support the large blooms in the garden. As a cut flower it is still very beautiful.
